Phathutshedzo Nange’s father Tshilidzi “Shakes” Nange has opened up on his son’s exit from Kaizer Chiefs after two disappointing year’s at Naturena.

The Glamour Boys confirmed Nange’s exit after the club opted against extending his contract.

It didn’t take long for the Bafana Bafana international to secure a new team, with SuperSport United snapping him up on a two-year-deal.

‘Shakes’, a Black Leopards legend in his own right, is pleased his son will be playing under a coach that understands him in Gavin Hunt.

Nange’s dad disappointed with Kaizer Chiefs

“I’m not happy with his stay there because he was not getting game time.” Tshilidzi told KickOff.

“I think it will be better now that he is at SuperSport United. Maybe he will get game time because Gavin Hunt knows him, he worked with him at Wits so I think adjusting won’t be a problem.

“At Kaizer Chiefs it was difficult for him to adjust. I don’t know what was the reason but now it’s better he will be playing under Gavin Hunt.

“Everywhere he go I will support him. I was only disappointed by his lack of game time. Most of the games when Chiefs played we went to watch as a family. Only to find that he was not playing, not on the bench – that was disappointing us.”
