Kaizer Chiefs fans have always been a demanding bunch. Managerial target Nasreddine Nabi might have the minerals they’re looking for.

NABI WANTS TO PLEASE THE FANS

Former Yanga SC boss Nasreddine Nabi has reiterated his desire to ‘put on a good show’ for the supporters to enjoy and shared the secret to his team’s productivity in front of goal this term. This revelation will be particularly pleasing for Kaizer Chiefs fans, who always demand entertaining, attack-minded football. The Glamour Boys have lacked fluency and looked disjointed, scoring just 19 goals in 20 league appearances this term.

“This is due to two reasons. The first is that we have high-calibre strikers and midfielders who can give the team an offensive and scoring boost,” he added.

“The second reason is related to the offensive tendency that I rely on.

“I always focus on this approach in my style, and it is a given that I have adopted in my previous experiences.

“Sometimes l even take risks at the expense of the defence, even if that costs me conceding goals because I am looking for scoring, and these goals are what increases the value of matches and the team as a whole, and the display aspect is also important in football,” he concluded.

Serial winner can become an instant hit with Kaizer Chiefs

Tunisian tactician Nabi is accustomed to success and has been in talks with Amakhosi already. Flirtations between the two parties started at the outset of this season but a deal broke down because of Nabi’s demands, who insisted on bringing his assistant coach, strength & conditioning coach, fitness trainer and goalkeeping coach to Naturena. The 58-year-old enjoyed unprecedented success with Tanzanian giants Yanga SC, astonishingly winning back-to-back trebles.

Chiefs aren’t knocking the lights out

Chiefs have played 20 matches this season in the DStv Premiership with those encounters producing a total of 34 goals at an average of 1.70 goals per game. They’ve scored just 19 times, which is the worst tally in the current top eight. Only Polokwane City have seen matches producing lower averages in that metric with a miserly 1.52 GPG. TS Galaxy’s 18 matches have seen 31 total goals at an average of 1.72 per game.
