Kaizer Chiefs are set to announce more player departures. Furthermore, a couple of Amakhosi coaches are set to leave too.

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed SEVEN player and coach departures out of Naturena.

However, more exits are around the corner. In fact, we have plenty of insight on the players and coaches in the firing line.

CHIEFS PLAYERS LIKELY HEADING OUT OF NATURENA

  • Itumeleng Khune
  • Zitha Kwinika
  • Mduduzi Mdantsane
  • Sabelo Radebe
  • Samkelo Zwane

Itumeleng Khune has been left behind with Chiefs having departed for Turkey. Therefore, this is a clear indication that he is not a part of Amakhosi’s plans for next season.

“Itu remains determined to play and has communicated that to the club. However, it appears he’s not in the new technical team’s plans, and he’s also expressed a clear disinterest in coaching,” the insider stated on Phakaaati.

Meaning, Khune is likely to leave Chiefs to join these PSL rivals, as reported on The South African. Meanwhile, Kwinika is linked with a surprise possible exit out of Naturena.

“The Siya crew has been led to believe that the future of Zitha Kwinika is currently hanging in the balance at Kaizer Chiefs, with a possibility of an exit. Chiefs are expected to have a big clear out of players now that the season is over. Kwinika, it’s understood, is one of the players they are willing to let go, with management not being fully convinced of his contribution over the last two seasons,” SoccerLaduma stated.

AMAKHOSI CONSIDERING LOANING OUT TALENTED TRIO

Additionally, Chiefs midfielders Mdantsane, Radebe and Zwane are all linked with possible loan moves. Also, all three players find themselves in the same boat – one they are not steering. All of these players are talented but they sit behind the likes of Yusuf Maart, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Edson Castillo.

Therefore, a loan move is in the best interest of both parties. So, for this Amakhosi trio, a move will give them more playing time. So, Chiefs can still hold onto them. Finally, the experienced gained at other clubs will be valuable to the players and the Soweto Giants in the future.

NEW CHIEFS COACHING STAFF STARTS TO TAKE SHAPE

Chiefs have confirmed a couple of coaching exits. Additionally, more coaches are in the firing line.

As things stand, Dillon Sheppard could be axed. Meanwhile, Muzi Maluleke and Aubrey Mothibe are also likely to be replaced. Meaning, they will be demoted, at the very least and possibly released by Chiefs. Moreover, this Chiefs coach is the next coach set to leave Amakhosi.

Currently, Fernando Da Cruz is taking charge of Chiefs. This is until they confirm the announcement of Nasreddine Nabi as head coach. Meanwhile, Ilyes Mzoughi is already training with the squad. So, he’s replaced Rainer Dinkelacker who has left. Furthermore, his arrival will likely see Mothibe leave.

“Unfortunately, with the wave of changes at the club, the 43-year old (Aubrey Mothiba) will no longer continue in the first team and could find himself in the less glamorous reserve team at best or out the club at worst,” the statement on KickOff read.
