Kaizer Chiefs legend selects preferred head coach

A former Kaizer Chiefs captain has selected his preferred Amakhosi head coach whom he believes will take the club forward

Kaizer Chiefs legend Patrick Mabedi has weighed in on the current head coaching position at Naturena.

Cavin Johnson has been named as ‘interim’ head coach following Molefi Ntseki’s departure however reports suggest a permanent replacement is on the horizon.

Former Amakhosi coach and Captain Patrick Mabedi however believes that Chiefs don’t have to look further as Johnson is the right man for the job!

“Johnson is the right coach. He is the right person for the job. The team should not look any further and disturb what he is building. You see he believes is the mixture of youth and experience which you can see is already working for the team.” Mabedi told SoccerLaduma.

We have enough quality – Johnson

“Look I think we have enough quality in the team, I just think they have not been given enough opportunities as individuals and I think the way we assess them, or the way we analyse them as part of the Chiefs family,” Johnson told iDiskiTimes

“I think that needs to be a little better between myself and my coaching staff. Because then we can give them more, they can be more positive towards themselves.

“If you did come to Kaizer Chiefs as an average player, then we will make you a better player. I think we need to get in their skin right now and there are good players.”
