Kaizer Chiefs legend comments on club’s new signings

Kaizer Chiefs legend David Kannemeyer has commented on the club’s new acquisitions ahead of next season.

The Glamour Boys have already welcomed no less than six players after a disappointing last season.

Chiefs have signed Edson Castillo, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Pule Mmodi and Ranga Chivaviro.

According to the legendary former Kaizer Chiefs defender, all six new signings are quality players. However their success will depend on how coach Molefi Ntseki plays and uses them in his system!

“It will depend with the coach [Molefi Ntseki] how he is going to use these players. I’m sure they are good quality players that’s why they went for them in the first place.” Kannemeyer told FARPost.

“I think it will also depend with the coach’s style if play. If it suits these new signings, then they will perform well. For now, all we have to do is wait, see how the team will be set-up and how they will gel when the new season begins.”

In other news, legendary former Kaizer Chiefs striker Pollen Ndlanya believes all PSL teams should have a striker/attacking coach.

This comes after the league failed to record a single top goal scorer with the award being shared by Peter Shalulile and Khanyisa Mayo.

The winning duo finished the season on a meager 12 goals each and that’s concerning according to Ndlanya.

“It’s something our so-called big bosses must look up to. They much check what is the problem. (tgigreek.com) For me I don’t think they are worried what is the problem. I feel sorry for the supporters.

“Now the defenders are so relaxed, they are in a picnic, they know that, ‘Ah, there’s no danger there’. It’s a problem.”
