Kaizer Chiefs complete league double over Richards Bay FC

Kaizer Chiefs registered their second successive league win as they beat Richards Bay FC 1-0 at King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.

Siyabonga Ngezana scored the only goal of the game in the eighth minute, and it eventually proved to be the difference.

Richards Bay FC were later reduced to 10 men after Salim Magoola was shown a straight red card for denying Keagan Dolly a clear goalscoring opportunity.

This was the eighth game that Chiefs play with numerical advantage, and a second successive match after Orlando Pirates captain Innocent Maela was shown a red card last week.

Nonetheless, Chiefs are yet to fully take advantage of that, and that should be a cause for concern for Arthur Zwane.

The rresult sees Chiefs move up to fourth on the log, level on points (34) with third-placed Pirates while Richards Bay moved down to fifth.
