Kaizer Chiefs return to action for the first time in 2022 when they host TS Galaxy in a Nedbank Cup round of 32 clash on Saturday evening.

The Glamour Boys however will be without the experienced duo of Sifiso Hlanti and Cole Alexander this evening through injuries.

Bafana Bafana defender Sifiso Hlanti ruptured his achilles tendon late last year and is unlikely to feature for Kaizer Chiefs again this season.

Cole Alexander on the other hand has suffered a dislocated shoulder injury and looks set to miss the first Amakhosi fixture of the year.

Bvuma desperate to bury TS Galaxy pain

“The Nedbank Cup is one of the competitions where I managed to get my breakthrough,” the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper told the club’s media department.

“I started playing and earned the coaches’ trust and it was in this cup when I started doing my best and performing at a senior level.

“I know how big it is and I know how important it is. As a team, we are looking forward to it. Kaizer Chiefs know TS Galaxy and we know how they play and I believe we’ve prepared and we are ready for them.

“In terms of experiences, the last one that I played was painful. That’s when we lost to TS Galaxy in the final back in 2019. So, we’re looking forward to playing against them and going all the way and winning this one.”
