Kaizer Chiefs interested in two players – report

Kaizer Chiefs may have already signed seven players for next season, but there are two more targets that could be in their sights.

With the 2023-24 season fast approaching, we already know a lot about who is coming and going at Chiefs, and it’s unlikely that there won’t be more announcements to come.

Already, Chiefs have announced the following signings: Given Msimango (four year contract), Thatayaone Ditlhokwe (signed until June 2027), Mduduzi Mdantsane (contract signed until June 2026), Edison Daniel Castillo Garcia (two years with an option for a further one year.), Pule Mmodi (three-year contract), Ranga Chivaviro (two-year deal with a one-year option) and Tebogo Potsane (three-year deal).

Yet, it seems the recruitment drive is far from over, with the latest issue of Soccer Laduma highlighting how Chiefs could be leading the race in the pursuit of talented midfielder Rowan Human.

The 22-year-old has been linked with the club in the past, but it’s suggested that Chiefs are now seriously looking at making a deal happen, although it has to be kept in mind that Maritzburg United did exercise the one-year option on his existing contract, which is set to expire in June of next year.

Meanwhile, the same publication also reports that Chiefs could also be interested in Bongani Zungu, although this seems extremely unlikely to result in any move considering that he rejoined Sundowns on a three-year contract with an option to renew just last year.
