It’s crunch time for The Glamour Boys. Here are the next five Kaizer Chiefs fixtures in the coming weeks as the season reaches its final furlong.

Kaizer Chiefs fixtures on the horizon

Chiefs travel to Cape Town to face Cape Town City next. Amakhosi lost last season’s corresponding fixture on the final day to lose out of fourth place to the Citizens so revenge will be at the top of their minds. Kickoff in that match is at 15:30. The turnaround time to their next fixture is a short one, with a clash against Stellenbosch on Tuesday 2 April at 19:30. That’s followed by a trip to Chippa on Saturday 6 April with kickoff at 15:00. Chiefs face Richards Bay away from home on 20 April at 15:00 and finally there’s a clash with Gavin Hunt’s SuperSport on 27 April at 17:00.

Meanwhile, the club’s rearranged/postponed meeting with TS Galaxy still doesn’t have a confirmed date. Mfundo Vilakazi will hope to make a big impression as the club pushes for a top-two finish.

NABI’S RELEASE CLAUSE REVEALED

Soccer-Laduma reported that Amakhosi are willing to pay Nabi’s R5 million buy-out clause. That would release him from his FAR Rabat contract expiring in June 2025.

“You know he (Nabi) signed a two-year contract with AS Far but it has a buyout clause because he was also looking at the possibility of moving to another team before the end of the two-year contract. Now Kaizer Chiefs are ready to meet that buyout clause which stands at around R5 million. If you look at that amount it’s nothing in South African football standard. Not for a player and not even for a coach and Chiefs won’t have a problem paying that to get the coach. So for now, that’s what they are looking at and everything seems to be in order.” said SL’s source.
