ICYMI: Chiefs striker ‘does nothing’ according to Junior Khanye

Kaizer Chiefs have cause for optimism

After two wins on the bounce, only their second string of consecutive league successes this season, Cavin Johnson is starting to build some momentum. The wins over Swallows and Polokwane are a positive move in the right direction, but there’s plenty of work to do if they are to keep that going.

The fixtures look good but the Chiefs aren’t the finished article

The wins over Swallows and Polokwane are a positive move in the right direction, but those are matches a club of this stature should be expected to win. Next up is another winnable clash against struggling Richards Bay on 23 December. Following that are games against Sekhukhune, TS Galaxy, Royal AM and Swallows in the return fixture. It’s hardly the most daunting schedule, but we know Chiefs are a frustratingly inconsistent side, just ask their supporters.
