Kaizer Chiefs have just eight league fixtures left in what has been a disappointing DStv Premiership campaign.

Amakhosi’s season goes from bad to worse

The Glamour Boys lie seventh in the table with 30 points after 22 matches. They slumped to their eighth defeat of the campaign last night against Stellenbosch, leaving them looking over their shoulder in the race for a top-eight finish and a spot in next season’s MTN8. TS Galaxy have two games in hand on Chiefs and trail them by just three points, while Golden Arrows would also leapfrog Cavin Johnson’s men with a win in their own game in hand. Even tenth-placed Polokwane can go above them with a win in their game in hand.

MOKWANA DISCUSSES CHIEFS RUMOURS

“I don’t know anything about that because my agent has not said anything,” Mokwana told FARPost when probed on the rumours linking him with Chiefs and Pirates.

“So, I know nothing. All I am focused on is here at Sekhukhune and we will see what happens going forward.

“It has always been my dream to play abroad.”

“I think I have improved a lot from my first season in the PSL and the coaches have been behind me. Telling me what to do and even the senior players have been guiding me. So it’s only helping me,” he added when asked about his progress as a DStv Premiership player. Mokwana is now a fully-fledged international with Bafana Bafana, after starring in recent friendlies against Andorra and Algeria. He also came up with the assist for Sekhukhune’s winner in their midweek success over Orlando Pirates.
