Ernst Middendorp skating on thin ice at Maritzburg United?

Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp could soon be out at Maritzburg United if the results don’t improve.

According to Daily Sun, Middendorp was locked in a meeting with the club’s hierarchy to discuss his future at the club.

Under Middendorp, Maritzburg United are winless since September when they beat TS Galaxy 1-0.

And their latest defeat to Chippa United was a major blow to Middendorp’s chances of possibly staying longer at the club.

It doesn’t get any easier for the German as he now has to face his former employers Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday night.

If Middendorp’s don’t get maximum points at Chiefs, chances are that he will be shown the exit door.

The two teams will lock horns at FNB Stadium on Wednesday with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.
