Kaizer Chiefs have just made their first signing and he is one of the most talked about players in the DStv Premiership.

Mfundo Vilakazi has been promoted into the first team.

Meaning, he is the first player to put pen to paper having finally signed with the first team.

CHIEFS FIRST SIGNING COMES FROM THE DDC RANKS

Cavin Johnson did hint at the fact that he is looking to grow the squad from within.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Amakhosi’s latest edition comes from their DDC side.

‘Obrigado’, as he is effectively known, was one of the stand out players in the All Stars XI 2-1 win over Stellenbosch FC in the Carling Cup final.

He scored from a free kick. Moreover, he continued to get whistles and cheers as he showcased the dazzling dribbling and saucy skills that he is known for.

ANOTHER PROMOTION ON THE CARDS?

Donay Jansen was invited to train with the first team ahead of the return of the DStv Premiership. So, he is well set up and primed to finally earn promotion into the senior side as well. This will depend on the impact he makes during this time as if management feel he has matured enough as a player.

He has trained a couple of times with the senior side before. However, he has yet to be offered a first team contract. Hopefully, this time will be different for the talented speedster and cousin of Amakhosi legend, Bernard Parker.
