Interim Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson has singled out his star performer from Saturday’s goalless draw against Swallows.

The Glamour Boys, who were reduced to 10 men in the 48th minute, managed to grind out a goalless at the FNB Stadium.

While the Amakhosi were rather unconvincing on the day, one particular player impressed Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson.

Kaizer Chiefs coach impressed with Duba!

“If we had maybe the extra men, maybe you would have seen Wandile in a better performance. But yes, I thought Wandile has done well,” Johnson told iDiskiTimes regarding Kaizer Chiefs youngster Wandile Duba.

“Tonight, he came on and defended from the front. But at the same time, he also made some good moves.I think he made one or two that was really telling.

“Moves that if everybody else read that move, maybe someone else would have scored because he didn’t go on to score goals, he just went on to add value the game.”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs FC’s management are reportedly closely monitoring TS Galaxy star Lehlohonolo Mojela.

The 27-year-old winger has been a revelation for Sead Ramovic’s Galaxy this season.

In his maiden season at the club, Mojela has scored four goals while assisting one more in the opening half of the season.

And now, his rich form is reportedly attracting serious attention from Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs!

Amakhosi keen on signing Galaxy star Mojela

“It’s unfortunate they could not get him last season when he was still at Casric Stars. They inquired about him even at that time after playing against Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup.” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“Kaizer Chiefs started talking to the club but it didn’t go far. They are serious about him.

“Let’s wait and see what Galaxy will say. He hasn’t even spent a full season there but players move in football and anything is possible.”

Mojela is undoubtedly one of the finds of the season. Do you want to see him at Kaizer Chiefs next season? Let us know in the comments section.
