KEAGAN DOLLY ADMITS KAIZER CHIEFS WERE POOR AGAINST TS GALAXY

As The South African reported last weekend, the Glamour Boys took a shock 1-0 defeat from TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup last 32. But the result was half the story.

The team known as The Rockets made Kaizer Chiefs look very ordinary they dominated with supreme dominance from start to finish.

Had it not been for goalkeeper Brendon Petersen’s brilliance, the score could have been a lot more embarrassing.

“Obviously we are very disappointed. Not only because we lost, but the way we played. I don’t think we were ourselves on the day,” Dolly said on Chiefs’ loss as per Soccer Laduma.

“Our movements off the ball, our pressing shape, I think it was not us. It’s good that we have a game on Tuesday, so that we can rectify our mistakes and get our confidence back.”

WHY THE WINGER JOINED AMAKHOSI

Additionally, the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town star reminded everyone why he joined the Soweto giants: To win trophies with a group of top talent around him.

“I came to Chiefs because I wanted to win trophies. I think we have the players to do so, we have the quality. To go out so early is really disappointing,” he added.

“I was really upset, I was sad. But we move on. We just need to start being consistent on the field. Once we start being consistent, we will compete for a lot more.”

Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys are now on the way to the Western Cape to battle the ever-spirited Cape Town City in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday night.
