Kaizer Chiefs have lined up a whole new team worth of tantalizing transfer targets with Amakhosi management set to make marquee signings. Here is the fully updated list.

Kaizer Chiefs will be making several big signings this transfer window. Let’s take a look at this red-hot list of targets they have lined up.

Kaizer Chiefs are set to undergo wholesale changes.

In fact, they will have a new coach, technical team and a new-look. So, expect several player movements in coming weeks.

12 Amakhosi players are linked with likely departures out of Naturena. Meaning, several new faces will be signed with some big-name marquee transfer targets identified.

AMAKHOSI LOOKING TO STRENGTHEN GOALKEEPER DEPARTMENT

Nwabili is one of Chiefs main transfer targets. In fact, Amakhosi wanted to sign him in the last transfer window. However, the real fell through with Chippa United keen to hold onto their star. This was to ensure they have their best players available as they fought to avoid relegation. Now, Chippa have confirmed that they are willing to sell Nwabili for the right price.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi are also eyeing Richards Bay keeper, Magoola. Yet, another target that they have reignited interest in.

“Talks over the signings of Salim and Ntsako started some time ago, but they had to be halted because of Richards Bay’s precarious position on the log. But they will resume after the conclusion of the season. What are can tell you is that both players are keen to join Chiefs,” the source stated on Phakaaati.

Finally, Chiefs face competition from Orlando Pirates for Afcon-winning goalie, Ondoa. Interestingly, he was formerly coached by Hugo Broos when Cameroon won the Afcon.

DEFENSIVE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS, SOMETHING CHIEFS NEED

Defense wins championships. Therefore, Chiefs have lined up some promising defenders from PSL rivals.

Firstly, Stellenbosch FC defender Toure has recently been offered to Amakhosi and Sundowns, according to iDiskiTimes. Additionally, another Stellies defender, Fawaaz Basodien has been in Amakhosi’s books for a while. Although, talks seem to have gone quite lately. Meanwhile, SuperSport United defender, Johannes is another player Chiefs want. However, reports state that he has already signed for Pirates.

MIDFIELD MADNESS WILL SEE MOVES APLENTY

It is in the midfield, that Amakhosi are likely set to make the most changes. Currently, five midfielders are linked with likely exits. Meanwhile, a couple of exciting talents have been lined up in this position.

Stellies midfielder, Mgaga is the latest Chiefs target. However, yet again they face stiff competition from the Bucs.

“Mgaga has now been heavily linked with both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, but it is believed that the Buccaneers are the front-runners and are likely to bring him on board,” the report read on Goal.

Ironically, former Pirates midfielder Ntsakhubela is one of the players linked with Chiefs.

CHIEFS TO ATTACK THE FORWARD DEPARTMENT

Amakhosi have struggled in front of goal for several seasons now. So, they urgently need a striker – or two – that is equally consistent and clinical. Furthermore, they need skillful attackers that can beat defenders on the outside and produce quality crosses. In fact, it is in attack that Chiefs have lined up the most targets as well as the biggest names.

Tau is one of, if not, their biggest attacking targets. Meanwhile, he is open to joining Chiefs if they sign Pitso Mosimane.

BAFANA BAFANA ATTACKERS, FOREIGN STRIKERS BEING MONITORED

Moreover, several Bafana attackers have ignited interest from the Soweto giants – Moremi, Singh, Appollis and more recently, Mothiba, as reported on The South African. Whilst, Cupido is still linked to Amakhosi.
