One of Bafana Bafana’s 1996 Afcon winners have offered their services to striker coach. An icon of that iconic tournament is now waiting on Amakhosi.

Bafana Bafana legend and icon, Mark Williams has personally offered his services to Kaizer Chiefs.

Bafana Bafana legend Mark Williams was recently spotted at Naturena, offering his services to Kaizer Chiefs.

In fact, he wants to be their striker coach.

BAFANA BAFANA LEGEND OFFERS HIS SERVICES TO CHIEFS

Williams, is an icon in Bafana Bafana football history. He most famously scored both goals in the final when South Africa were crowned 1996 Afcon champions. Meanwhile, he scored four goals to become the joint top goal-scorer during that memorable tournament.

Now, he wants to be the next Chiefs striker coach.

“Chiefs are not scoring goals, but they are playing good football. I went there, and I said, ‘let me be a striker coach’,” he told FarPost.

So, Williams was at Naturena and he has officially availed himself as a potential striker coach. Moreover, Williams has opened the door, inviting an offer.

“I am waiting. I am waiting in the door; I am not giving up. All I want to do is to help the strikers. So if I can help the strikers score week in and week out, that means 85 per cent of South African fans will be happy because they will score goals and win. Football is about scoring goals and winning,” he added on the same publication.
