Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has urged Hugo Broos to include Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Neo Maema in his Bafana Bafana setup.

Maema has been in scintillating form for the Brazilians this season, so much so that he doesn’t only create goalscoring chances for his teammates but can also score himself.

The Bloemfontein-born midfielder has five goals in the league for Sundowns this season, and according to Khanye, the left-footer has been doing well for some time.

In his own words, Khanye said Maema reminds him of Thulani Serero in that No.10 role, and he wants Broos to take fulk advantage of that by picking him.

“Neo Maema, I think that boy is talented. I think Bafana coaches must give the boy a chance,” he said on iDiski TV.
“I’m starting to see a player… no, in fact it’s not the first time but it’s been a while. That boy in that position after Thulani Serero, I saw Serero, I saw a similar type of player,” said Khanye.
