Kaizer Chiefs suffered 12 league defeats last term, their worst-ever campaign. They’re out of this season’s Carling Knockout Cup, Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates won the MTN8 and they’re already halfway to matching last season’s league defeat tally.

It’s a bold theory, but one worth considering. Has Mr Motaung Jr achieved the objectives laid down to him as the sporting director of the Kaizer Chiefs football club? It’s doubtful. One fan even said he was ‘building his legacy on a wetland.’
