“I’ll run down NAKED if we get 60 points”  – Gavin Hunt

SuperSport United head coah Gavin Hunt has made a wild promise should his team reach 60 points by the end of the season.

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has dared to run naked should his side reach 60 points at the end of the season.

Matsatsantsa finished third last season with 54 points but at their current rate, the Pretoria team could get to 60 points by the end of the season.

After their 2-1 win over Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday, Hunt’s team are now third in the DStv Premiership, six points behind Mamelodi Sundowns.

Hunt makes a wild promise after Spurs win

Bradley Grobler netted a brace at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town to secure all the three points for SuperSport United.

“After 10 minutes, we changed the system and we went to a back three and we looked much better,” Hunt said after the match.

“We obviously didn’t have the right players to play that way so I had to make a few changes. I brought in Keenan Bezuidenhout and he did well. We changed the way we played and tried to force them back a little bit and that worked. All we can focus on is doing the best that we can,” said Hunt as per Citizen.

Hunt has complained about injuries and how thin his squad is but managed to collect 16 points from eight games so far.

“We have 16 points out of 8 games. If we get 60 points out of the 30 games I’ll run down any street naked. We are punching above our weight with what we got. We are struggling a little bit, It’s our 12th away game in a row, it’s unbelievable but it is what it is so it has been tough traveling,” he added.
