I’ll never play for Orlando Pirates – Maema

“The one team I didn’t want to go to was Orlando Pirates. That was from a young age. I don’t know whether it’s the spirit or what, but it doesn’t feel okay with me,” Maema told PitchPodcast as quoted by FarPost.

“That’s one team that, even if I did see an opportunity to play for a big team, it was a team that I didn’t want to play for. I still have the same feeling to this day, that thing doesn’t go away.

“Now, I’m fully invested in Mamelodi Sundowns. I don’t think of other teams. The tricky part, but not tricky, is that most of my family are Pirates fans.”
