Pirates notched their fifth PSL win in a row when they beat Cape Town City and now look the strongest candidates for Champions League football.

Bucs need to keep scoring

Orlando Pirates winning run has coincided with better form in front of goal, something they will need to maintain to finish their season strong.

The Sea Robbers have four winnable fixtures left in the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.

If Orlando Pirates win all four matches they will finish second and secure the second Caf Champions League place.

Pirates are also still in the hunt for the Nedbank Cup but will need to get past bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs to make the final.

TS Galaxy are up next for Riveiro’s men, following that, a midweek clash with Royal AM precedes the Nedbank Cup semi-final.

Pirates round off their campaign with a home match against Sekhukhune United and a trip to Durban to face Amazulu on the final day of the season.

For Riveiro, a Nedbank Cup win and qualifying for the Champions League would be a great success in his first term as coach.

The finish to this season could set the bar very high for the Spaniard in the 2023/24 season.
