Kaizer Chiefs stayed seventh in the DStv Premiership standings despite losing their most recent match against Stellenbosch FC at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday, 2 April.

The Glamour Boys went down 1-0 against Stellies who had Devin Titus to thank for their match-winning goal.

Amakhosi have 30 points after 22 matches, and any chance of adding the league title to their trophy cabinet is dead and buried for another season.

The Soweto giants will be looking over their shoulder for those teams chasing a top-eight finish and a spot in next season’s MTN8 tournament.

The dates and kick-off times of seven of Kaizer Chiefs’ eight remaining matches have been confirmed.

Their home clash against TS Galaxy, which was postponed due to Bafana Bafana’s late return to the country following their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) campaign, is yet to be confirmed.

Kaizer Chiefs have four home and four away matches remaining.

Two of the eight matches are against teams currently ranked above them in the standings, while the other six are against teams currently in the bottom half of the log.

Below are The South African website’s predictions for Kaizer Chiefs’ remaining DStv Premiership matches in the 2023/2024 season:

TBC vs TS Galaxy (H) – TBC – WIN

6 April vs Chippa United (A) – 15:00 – WIN

20 April vs Richards Bay (A) – 15:00 – WIN

27 April vs SuperSport United (H) – 17:00 – DRAW

30 April vs Mamelodi Sundowns (H) – 19:30 – LOSS

11 May vs AmaZulu (A) – 17:00 – DRAW

18 May vs Polokwane City (H) – 15:00 – WIN

25 May vs Cape Town Spurs (A) – 15:00 – WIN

If we are correct, that means another 17 points will be coming Kaizer Chiefs’ way this season.

That would mean a final tally of 47 points.

While that won’t be enough to take the title or likely qualify for a CAF Champions League or CAF Confederations Cup spot next season, it should be sufficient to secure an MTN8 berth.
