Ka Bo Yellow’s win over SuperSport tonight puts them 14 points ahead of Richards Bay, 16 ahead of Matsatsantsa, 19 ahead of Kaizer Chiefs and 21 ahead of Orlando Pirates. Add second-placed Richards Bay’s points tally (29) to that of rock-bottom Gallants (14) and you get 43, the amount of points amassed by Sundowns after 17 games. Phew.

After tonight’s 1-0 success against SuperSport, Sundowns have now won 11 PSL matches on the bounce, equalling their own record run set by the class of 2007. Also, they’ve kept 10 clean sheets in that run. If they beat Chiefs at FNB stadium on Saturday, they’ll break their own record win streak.

Can anybody stop Sundowns? The answer is no, it’s just about damage limitation at this stage.
