And that brought a number of coaches who were sacked during the 2021-22 season to a whopping 11 – only four teams didn’t fire or demote their coaches.

Mamelodi Sundowns, Royal AM, Cape Town City, and Stellenbosch are the only teams that kept faith in their coaches this past season.
Baroka, on the other, didn’t really sack their coaches Matsemela Thoka and Kgoloko Thobejane but instead demoted them to the reserve team.

Lastly, Sekhukhune United appointed Kaitano Tembo as head coach and made Macdonald Makhubedu their ‘senior coach’.
