DOWNS vs CHIEFS: Kickoff time, latest KEY team news

ICYMI: Two SENSATIONAL stats which are a source of hope for Kaizer Chiefs fans

TWO NEW STARS SPOTTED AT NATURENA

22-year-old Sibusiso Milazi has been spotted training with the first-team, according to Goal sources. Milazi and fellow youngster Wandile Duba will both be eyeing out a position in a matchday squad soon. The Glamour Boys haven’t scored in any of their ladst three matches, including friendlies against Yanga and Township Rollers and then their PSL opener with Chippa. An internal solution to the problem might be on the way.

KAIZER BOAST DEPTH IN DEFENSE

Siyabonga Gumede is just 19 but he could be on the verge of a first-team breakthrough. He was recently spotted wearing the number 14 jersey vacated by Kgaogelo Sekgota, who’s moved to Stellenbosch. The competition for places at centre-back is intense, though. Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Spiwe Msimango and Njabulo Ngcobo are firmly ahead of him in the pecking order, but there’s no reason a few impressive training sessions won’t lead to an appearance in a matchday squad. There’s also the wizardly and flamboyance of young winger Mfundo “Obrigado” Vilakazi, who’s on the fringes too.
