Four Kaizer Chiefs youngsters allowed to return to Naturena

Kaizer Chiefs FC have decided to give four rising stars a second chance at the club by allowing them to return to Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs reserve coach Vela Khumalo will be a relieved man after the club allowed a number of their youngsters to return back to training.

Six Amakhosi reserve players were suspended by the club after failing to act as ball boys during a first-team encounter last year.

Omega Mdaka, Puso Dithejane, Donay Jansen, Ntandeyenkosi Nkosi, Siyabonga Gumede and Lungile Nkosi were all punished by the club.

Both Dithejane and Mdaka ended up leaving the club permanently however Jansen, N. Nkosi, Gumede and L. Nkosi have all been allowed to return back to training for the DStv Diski Challenge side!

“We have all the players available ahead of this match and that has made our preparations smooth,” Khumalo told SuperSport.

“Four of the six that were suspended are back and also Mfundo Vilakazi who missed most of the matches due to exams is back and available for selection.”

Kaizer Chiefs interim head coach Cavin Johnson has opened up about the club’s January transfer window plans.

The Glamour Boys have struggled to close the glaring gap between themselves and rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

The Buccaneers lifted the MTN8 title already this season, while Mamelodi Sundowns also lifted the inaugural African Football League trophy.

Despite looking well off the pace, Johnson is adamant his side don’t need to bolster their squad.

“Like I said earlier, I’m not interested in getting any players at the moment. We need to work with what we have, make sure that they come to the party and make sure that they believe that they are Kaizer Chiefs players,” Cavin Johnson said, as quoted by SoccerLaduma.

“And that’s what we gonna work on during the break and now we’ve got a little bit of a holiday.

“I think five or ten days, we get back and we’ve got a little pre-season camp and we see what happens when we come back.”
