This comes after news last week that Ntshangase had been released by Black Leopards, having returned to the club that introduced him to professional football, for a second spell. That second spell came after being in the wilderness following his release from Chiefs, but it was short-lived. It is thought that the Limpopo-based club decided to cut their losses with the player due to disciplinary records and according to a source speaking to The Citizen, that blow could prove the final drawer for ‘Stash’.

“Deep down he knows that he should be one of the top players in the league and he should be part of the Bafana Bafana set-up. But as life has it, things don’t come to you if you don’t work hard and ‘Stash’; has reached the ceiling in terms of what he can offer, he knows his time is up,” said the source speaking to the same publication.

Ntshangase was once a promising and skilful footballer, so bright was his future that he was given his Bafana Bafana debut by Shakes Mashaba, while still playing in the first division. He was then unsurprisingly linked to some of the top teams in the country, but in a shock move, would end up joining fellow Limpopo side Baroka. From there, he would eventually make his way to a giant club joining Chiefs in January 2018.

Ntshangase to call it quits?

His time at Chiefs failed to yield any fruit as injury and reports of ill discipline eventually saw the club run out of patience with the fan favourite, which led to his release. It now looks as if that spell will be as big as it gets for the 29-year-old’s seemingly fading football career.
