“The truth is, Darrel(Matsheke) had some differences with one of the players there. Obviously, that didn’t go down well with them. So they accuse Darrel of saying what they claim he said to the coach.”

Addressing the circulating rumours of a pre-contract agreement with Orlando Pirates, Baloyi clarifies that ex-Chiefs star Matsheke’s association with the club is based solely on speculation. He dispels the notion of any formal negotiations, asserting that Stellenbosch FC’s assumptions have led to unjust treatment of his client.

“Stellenbosch treated the boy badly. They said what they said because they believed he was on his way to Orlando Pirates. That’s fake news because I have not spoken to Orlando Pirates about Darrel(Matsheke).”
