WATCH: ‘Dejected’ Chiefs players walk into dressing room after derby defeat

Kaizer Chiefs suffered their 6th league defeat of the season following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Orlando Pirates on Saturday afternoon.

Evidence Makgopa scored the only goal of the match in the 20th minute to give the Buccaneers the bragging rights.

After the conclusion of the Soweto derby, a video of Chiefs players walking from the tunnel and into the dressing room was made available online.

In the video, several Chiefs players can be seen walking into the dressing room with their heads faced down and looking tired.

Amakhosi fans were not happy with how their players performed on the day and took to X, formely Twitter, to lash on their players.

“I don’t know where you see dejection here…they’re just chilled and normal, life goes on for them,” @rammusi_katlego tweeted.

Amakhosi interim coach Cavin Johnson said his team fell short on the day.

“A game maybe of two halves, I thought we had the better chances in the first half,” he told SuperSport TV.

“I thought we had a nice chance in the beginning but then they picked up and scored their first chance in the first half.

“We were ok in the second half, we should’ve scored late in the half but not to be. Congratulations to Pirates, they have the bragging rights now,” said Cavin Johnson after the derby.
