CONFIRMED – Orlando Pirates ‘saviour’ Zakhele Lepasa injured
Bafana Bafana doctor Thabo Maleka has confirmed that Orlando Pirates star Zakhele Lepasa left the camp because of a left knee overuse injury.

Bafana Bafana’s medical doctor has confirmed that Orlando Pirates star Zakhele Lepasa dropped out from the squad due to a knee injury.
However, little is known yet how severe the injury is, but it has since been confirmed that he is already receiving treatment.

ORLANDO PIRATES STAR ZAKHELE LEPASA INJURED
The 26-year-old recently hogged headlines when he withdrew from the squad that was supposed to travel to Abidjan for tomorrow’s international friendly match against Ivory Coast.
His withdrawal undoubtedly thrust him into the top trends, with many trying to connect the dots about the reasons behind his actions.

In the backdrop of the top trends, Bafana Bafana doctor has confirmed the mystery that shrouded his absence from the travelling party.
Speaking to the media, Thabo Maleka revealed that the star was struggling with his left knee overuse injury, which recent games and training sessions could have caused.
Thabo Maleka said: “Lepasa is struggling with a left knee overuse injury, which could have been exacerbated again by the recent games and also training.”
“He is already in the care of the medical team, they have already started the necessary treatment that is needed for that particular injury that he’s having, and that is why he’s not with us today,” added Thabo Maleka.

The doctor made it known that on the eve of travelling, it got worse and needed urgent medical attention.
Despite being reported to be in the medical team’s care, Orlando Pirates is yet to confirm his injury and its severity.

No doubt Zakhele Lepasa started the season on fire and has been influential in Orlando Pirates’ campaigns across all competitions.
However, despite his newfound form, he has been struggling in front of goals, and the injury seems to have worsened his situation.
