It’s no secret that Chiefs have been hard at work behind the scenes to identify which players they need to bring to Naturena, particularly considering several players are linked with exits.

Earlier this year, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe was already announced as a new signing by the club, and the SuperSport United man will join Chiefs at the end of the season.

According to Phakaaathi, SuperSport midfielder Jamie Webber is now also on the radar of Chiefs, with the club said to be in the market for another talented midfielder to add to the team mix.

“Getting Webber’s signature will be huge for Chiefs, he is one of the best midfielders in the country,” a so-called informant commented. “He is at the right age for his experience and the club believe that he can add a lot of value. There is something that the coach is working on, and a player like Webber is exactly what he needs.”

It remains to be seen if anything will come of this rumour, but it’s certainly a story worth keeping an eye on as Chiefs continue to plot and plan for next season.

Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has suggested the club know exactly what they’re looking for when it comes to player recruits.

“Whoever we bring on board will be a need, more than just a player that is doing very well for a certain team, someone that needs to come here and add value, that is why we are doing proper profiling of players with how we want to play and how they can come in and add value,” Zwane said, as quoted by iDiski Times.

“It’s pointless for us to bring a player because he is doing well for his team right now and not able to come to help us and shine like that as well and play in a system that suits him so we focusing on ourselves.”
