Cape Town City have signed a 20-year-old startlet whose football career took shape in the North West ABC Motsepe League.

Cape Town City have added a new member to the squad in the form of Heaven Sereetsi from the North West ABC Motsepe League.

Sereetsi had been training with City for some time as Eric Tinkler wanted to have a close eye on him.

He was invited for assessment after what was an impressive campaign for him in Varsity Football with the North West University.

Sereetsi was named the best player after the conclusion of the tournament, and City moved swiftly to invite him over for a trial.

On Friday, The Citizens took to their social media platforms to announce Sereetsi as their newest signing.

SEREETSI’S FIRST PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT

This is Sereetsi’s first professional contract, and the young and promising player would hope to grab this opportunity with both hands.

He is unlikely to feature for City in the near future as the technical team would want him to settle in before being thrown into the deep end.

City visit Chippa United in their first league encounter of 2024 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
