Cape Town City have announced the departure of a former Orlando Pirates star midfielder who was among the senior players within the team.
Mpho Makola is no longer at Cape Town City after the two parties reached an agreement to part ways on PSL transfer deadline day.
Reasons behind City and Makola parting ways are still unknown at this stage but the club said it was by ‘mutual consent’.

The 36-year-old arrived at Cape Town City in 2019 following his departure from Pirates, and he immediately became an integral member of the squad.
Makola leaves having featured 15 times across all competitions for City this season without scoring a goal.
Overall, Makola made 94 appearances for City, scored three goals and provided five assists in the process.
