The 15-year-old Witbooi, who is a South Africa U15 and School Of Excellence star, has been singled out as one of the most talented up and coming youngsters on the local football scene.

He was first call-up for national duty last year and went on to gain selection to represent South Africa’s U15 in the UEFA U16 International Development Tournament in Poland.

Later that same the fleet-footed teenager scooped both the Midfielder of the Tournament and Player of the Tournament awards for his peerless performances at the SAFA U15 Inter-provincial Tournament.

As per the report by iDiski Times, the Witbooi had previously drawn interest from European giants Manchester United as well as DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns. But it turns out that Sundowns’ lucrative offer had been bested by a more enticing deal from CT City.

It is believed that Witbooi is currently in Cape Town to complete the paperwork for his move.

His father, Ralani is currently playing for the newly promoted Cape Town Spurs, but previously turned out for both Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns. Before that, Ralani played for overseas clubs Helsingborgs IF, IFK Hässleholm, Landskrona BoIS and Lyngby BK.
