BREAKING: Pitso Mosimane prepares to raid Mamelodi Sundowns for Peter Shalulile!

Having recently been officially unveiled as the new head coach of United Arab Emirates side Al Wahda, Pitso Mosimane is looking to hurt one of his former sides.

Having recently been officially unveiled as the new head coach of United Arab Emirates side Al Wahda, Pitso Mosimane is looking to hurt one of his former sides.

That is because, according to reports, Mosimane is preparing a blockbuster bid for Mamelodi Sundowns superstar Peter Shalulile.

Shalulile has been in hot form since joining Sundowns from Highlands Park, quickly becoming their man source of goals. His return in front of goal has helped the Brazilians to three DStv Premiership titles in a row, while he also led the side to a few cup titles during his time at Chloorkop. He arrived at the club shortly after the departure of Mosimane, who has had to see the Namibian international’s lethal side as an opposing coach at Al Ahly

Now Shalulile’s impress goal record, which currently stands at 75 in 118 games for Sundowns attracted a lot interest in his services. It was thought that it was primarily the clubs from North Africa who had been keeping tabs on the player. The likes of Egyptian powerhouses, Al Ahly and FC Pyramids, where he could potentially form a deadly combination with South African striker Fagrie Lakay.

But now, according to the latest reports from KickOff.com , it is Mosimane and is Al Wahda side who will be looking to tempt Sundowns to part ways with their main man in Shalulile. 

Shalulile to leave Sundowns for Mosimane’s Al Wahda?

“It is said Mosimane has indicated to the Al Wadha management that his desire is to have Shalulile in Abu Dhabi though that will come through a process of tempting the 29-year-old away from Sundowns. Al Wadha are now preparing an offer that will seek to entice Sundowns into listening and hopefully agreeing to a transfer. The club-to-club discussions between Al Wahda and Sundowns will inform if there will be any business done through this transfer window.” Wrote the publication.

It is set to be a difficult deal to do, however, as Shalulile still has a long-term contract at Sundowns and is their main striker. Al Wahda on the other hand, could be coming with a lucrative offer that could be too much to turn down by the Brazilians.
