BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs fan-favourite signs new deal

Chiefs will not be letting any of their best players go that easily, and they have now tied down their fan-favourite to a new two-year deal.

Kaizer Chiefs fan-favourite Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has signed a new two-year deal with the club, the Soweto giants confirmed in a short statement.

Ngcobo’s contract was set to expire at the end of June, but there was never a doubt that he would stay beyond the current season.

And that’s because interim coach Cavin Johnson appears to be a big fan of Ngcobo as he’s managed to give him some minutes since he came in.

According to the same statement, Chiefs have an option to extend Ngcobo’s contract for one more year when it expires in June 2026.

NGCOBO’S STATS AS KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYER

Ngcobo was promoted from the Chiefs development in 2017 when Steve Komphela was still at the helm but he never really took off.

It was during Gavin Hunt’s tenure where the left-footed midfielder won the hearts of many Amakhosi fans with his performances.

This season only, Ngcobo has featured in nine matches and scored once. Overall, he has seven goals and three assists in 87 appearances for Chiefs.
