BREAKING: Chiefs confirm another player exit
Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed they have bid farewell to another player as part of the squad rebuilding process.

On Thursday, the Glamour Boys released a player update as follows: “Austin Dube has left Kaizer Chiefs after reaching an agreement with the club to facilitate his exit. The 30-year-old defender signed for Amakhosi from Richards Bay in July 2021.”
The 30-year-old defender signed for Amakhosi from Richards Bay in July 2021, and over his two seasons as a Glamour Boy, Dube played 18 matches – starting 13 times.

However, discussions between Dube’s representatives and club management since the end of last season resulted in a decision to terminate the player’s contract a year early.
“We are sad to see Austin leaving us, but we felt that it was in the best interests of the Club, as well as Austin himself, in terms of the furtherance of his career that we allow him the freedom to pursue other options and opportunities,” said Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., following the official announcement.
“Austin has been a model professional during his time with us and we thank him for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs. We all wish him everything of the best,” added Motaung Jr.
