Bobby explains how Kaizer Chiefs can return to the top

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung is hopeful that Amakhosi will rise and start winning trophies again.

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung says patience and leadership are needed to overcome the club’s struggles.

Amakhosi have not won a trophy in over eight years and have struggled to compete for top honours despite changing coaches almost every season.

The club recently parted ways with Molefi Ntseki after only four months in charge.

Motaung told iDiski Times the club required a leader who is patient.

“It requires a leader, who is patient to develop and inspire coaches, players and give people opportunities,” he said.

“It’s not magic, it’s not that he is pressing a button that whoever we sign [for] the team must perform. It’s about planning, it’s about re-planning.

“The success of the brand has been there for years because of rebranding, rebuilding, refocusing, changing and facing the challenges and I think that’s what makes him unique because he has been through the mill.”
