As reported last month, the Carling Knockout last 16 opener between TS Galaxy and Sundowns saw Parker caught by a horrific tackle from Bongani Zungu.

With 54 minutes on the clock, a 50-50 challenge from Sundowns’ Zungu left the 37-year-old Parker with a broken bone in the area between his ankle and leg.

“An apology matters because you’ve broken somebody’s leg,” the Boksburg-born Parker said on Metro FM.

“It can be anything, even if you lie to somebody, and somebody finds out, an apology matters. Even if he knew you were lying, an apology matters.

“But on my side, I’ve gone on. I’ve watched the video, I went on in pain, in suffering… I already see myself stronger,” the former Bafana Bafana, Benoni United and FC Twente striker concluded.
