Kaizer Chiefs are interested in Bafana Bafana and Polokwane star Oswin Appollis. However, the attacking midfielder is focusing on his current team.

Oswin Appollis has caught the attention of several suitors after his rise to prominence for Polokwane. His form was so good that he was called up to the Bafana Bafana Afcon squad. He’s focusing on his current employers for now though.

“Ja no comment on any of that,” Appollis replied to iDiski Times when asked about the transfer rumours.

“My job now is just to play for Polokwane City, and do great, and continue helping the team, wherever the team’s gonna be in the next few years.”

Appollis is diplomatic about it, but according to reports, Polokwane won’t stand in his way should a satisfactory offer arrive for the 22-year-old.

Pirates and Chiefs are interested in Appollis and they’ll be glad to hear that a large offer might tempt Polokwane into selling their prized asset.

“And the good thing for them, or any other interested club, is that Polokwane City is open to selling,” a source told Soccer Laduma

“The club won’t stand in the player’s way and for them, it will be a matter of cashing in.

“This applies to any player that they were taking a chance on when signing. Appollis is a talented youngster with a lot of potential, but at the time of his signing, he needed a fresh start. He needed that in the big league, and Polokwane City was willing to offer him that opportunity. He has done well, and the club won’t stand in his way if there is an opportunity for him to grow further.”

Chiefs face Golden Arrows next on Tuesday 5 March before they clash with Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
