WHAT BIMENYIMANA OFFERS – ZWANE

“You must have seen him today [Sunday], he simplifies things, he keeps it simple as a striker,” Zwane told media after the game as quoted by Soccer Laduma.

“He doesn’t just want to play the ball out, he wants to protect the ball in those one-twos, he’s also skillful, he’s not just a tall boy. And he’s quick for his structure, he’s got that balance as well. Yes, we’ve always wanted a player that can release players like ‘Ash’ [Ashley Du Preez].

“If you must have seen the runs that he made, he freed Ash, so that the ball carrier at that time must be able to pick one between the two of them. And that’s why Ash, I think twice, he was free because Caleb will attract [defenders], that’s the strength he has as a player.

“And like I said, he’s also clever on the ball, he’s not just a striker that is waiting for the crosses. We’re not a team that will rely on high balls. We’re a team that wants to penetrate on the middle, obviously use width to create goal-scoring opportunities.”

In other news, Zwane has explained why he decided to take Bimenyimana off in the match against Stellenbosch.

Early in the second half, Bimenyimana was cautioned for a foul and ‘Mangethe’ says he had to save him from a possible second booking as they need him for upcoming fixtures.

ZWANE EXPLAINS WHY HE TOOK OUT BIMENYIMANA

“After scoring the third goal, I was more worried about Caleb, he was on a yellow and for us to keep him out of the field is because by nature he is aggressive, so he could have easily picked up a second bookable offense and then we miss him in the next games,” he told SuperSport TV as quoted by Soccer Laduma.

“I had to take him out, bring on ‘Mshini’ [Nkosingiphile Ngcobo] to slow down the game but also knowing that we still have Keagan [Dolly], [Kgaogelo] Sekgota and ‘Ash’ [Ashley du Preez] upfront.

“So he can easily connect with them to score more goals and we actually dropped the tempo, which I’m quite not happy about, we could have easily scored four goals, five, six goals today because you’re gonna need these goals come the end of the season.

“But there’s no doubt, we played against a good team, it’s just that today I think we were far a better team.”
