As much as Zwane was heartbroken over the defeat, he was happy with the goal-scoring opportunities they created.

THE GAME WAS ‘FOR THE TAKING’ – ZWANE

“I’m really disappointed because this game was there for us for the taking,” Zwane said after the game in the press conference.

“It was for the taking for the fact that we created chances, we know we could have done better and we only have ourselves to blame.

“But like I said it wasn’t to be, because if it wasn’t to be then we could have taken those chances.

“And I must commend the effort of the boys as well, they tried like I said, it’s bad when the team is not creating chances at all but we created chances, I counted about seven today.

“We could have only scored one from a dead ball situation so I’m proud of these boys, they are trying.

“There’s lot of games that we are playing and you’re also trying to give other youngsters the opportunity but you have to be cautious as well.

“But you need more of these experienced players and you must have seen we lost Itu [Itumeleng Khune] because of the number of games we are playing.

“And it’s just unfortunate that Brandon [Peterson] started the game today and then conceded two goals on the stand, but these are the things we work on as a club.”
