The ambitious Baroka FC are still sitting pretty at the top going into this weekend’s PSL action and only a win from second-placed Golden Arrows can unseat them, provided the Limpopo side fail to register a win.

This round however could see big moves elsewhere on the log as the top eight is currently separated by just six points.

Saturday, 21 October

Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates, FNB stadium – 15:30

Dominating the headlines in this weekend’s Absa Premiership action is the Soweto derby at FNB stadium. There’s no real home ground for either side as both sides have used this particular venue as their home base so far this season.

Important to note that both are yet to claim victory at the country’s largest football stadium in this current campaign.

Golden Arrows v Polokwane City, Princess Magogo stadium – 15:30

Abafana Besthende are back at home, hosting Polokwane City at Princess Magogo stadium on Saturday. The KZN side missed out on reclaiming top spot when they drew with Baroka on Wednesday.

Mamelodi Sundowns v AmaZulu, Lucas Moripe stadium – 20:15

Mamelodi Sundows will be looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs when they host AmaZulu at the Lucas Moripe stadium on Saturday night.

Free State Stars v Platinum Stars, Goble Park – 20:15

Free State Stars will look to maintain winning momentum when they do battle with bottom-placed Platinum Stars on Saturday.

Ajax Cape Town v Bloemfontein Celtic, Athlone stadium – 20:15

The other fixture scheduled late on Saturday is at Athlone stadium where Ajax Cape Town will be looking to get their campaign on track against Bloemfontein Celtic, after a disappointing midweek result against Free State Stars.

Sunday, 22 October

Baroka FC v Bidvest Wits, Peter Mokaba stadium – 15:30

Current league toppers Baroka FC host defending champions Bidvest Wits on Sunday at Peter Mokaba stadium. The two sides have traded places from last season’s campaign as “The Clever Boys” are currently sitting at second last on the log with just one win to their name.

Chippa United v Cape Town City FC, Sisa Dukashe stadium – 15:30

Chippa United make their way across the province from Port Elizabeth to Mdantsane on Sunday where they will host Cape Town City FC at Sisa Dukashe stadium.
