Pitso Mosimane confirms African offer!

South African coach Pitso Mosimane’s future seems to be a topic of discussion almost every season, and this time around is no different.

South African coach Pitso Mosimane’s future seems to be a topic of discussion almost every season, and this time around is no different.

Whether Mosimane is in a job or not, there seems to be never ending talk of where his next job will be, with speculation rife again this time around.

Mosimane is currently the head coach of Saudi Arabian football giants Al Ahli, a side who had found themselves falling all the way to the country’s second division. The former Al Ahly coach then took up the job last year, as he was attracted by the prospect of bringing the club back to its former glories, and awakening a sleeping giant in the process.

Al Ahli had suffered the embarrassment of being relegated for the first time in their illustrious history, but Mosimane was able to secure the 1st division title with four games to spare, meaning their 0-0 draw to conclude the season did not really matter as it affected nothing at all.

But even after that success, Mosimane could be forced to find a job elsewhere, as Al Ahli president Walid Moaz stated that “Pitso Mosimane performed well with the team, but the ambition is greater”. That hardly sounding like a vote of confidence in the man who just secured promotion for your club.

Mosimane though, came out with some fighting talk, revealing that he had already turned down an offer to return to the African continent and to Egypt, while he sees himself at Al Ahli next season still.

Mosimane turns down Zamalek offer

“I received an offer from Egyptian (club) Zamalek but this time it is not appropriate to accept the offer. If the circumstances were different I would’ve wanted to continue Al Ahly in Egypt, but the conditions of the Egyptian League necessitated not working there” Mosimane revealed to beIN Sports.

It remains to be seen if Mosimane will, indeed still be at Al Ahli next season or another club.
