BREAKING: Pitso Mosimane & Al Ahli part ways, Chiefs to pounce?
Pitso Mosimane and Al Ahli have parted ways just less than a year after the two parties agreed on a season-long deal with an option to renew.

Pitso Mosimane and Al Ahli have parted ways just less than a year after the two parties agreed on a season-long deal with an option to renew.

Mosimane joined Al Ahli in October 2022, and this was five games into the Saudi Arabian First Division, and the club was seventh on the log.
His mandate was to promote Al Ahli back into the Saudi Pro League, and he did that with distinction as he won the league.

However, that didn’t seem to be appreciated by the Al Ahli, at least from afar, as they dragged their feet in clarifying whether or not they intended to keep Mosimane.
Now, according to SABC Sport, Mosimane tendered his resignation to Al Ahli about 15 days ago.

Furthermore, the publication reports that Mosimane’s next letter to Al Ahli would be to demand what’s due to him and his technical team.
Not so long ago, Mosimane publicly revealed that he had not been paid his monthly salary since the start of the year.

And this also affected his entire technical team and the players alike, but they soldiered on and won the league with four games to spare.
PITSO MOSIMANE TERMINATES AL AHLI CONTRACT
“SABC Sport has learnt that Mosimane has terminated his contract with newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, after winning the Yelo League title a few weeks ago, and this means that he can now take whatever direction he wants with his career.
“SABC Sport understands that the former Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns head coach through his legal representatives sent a letter to Al Ahli 15 days ago, informing them of the intention to terminate the contract.”
WILL KAIZER CHIEFS POUNCE ON PITSO MOSIMANE?
With Mosimane now unattached to any team, the question on everyone’s lips is whether or not Kaizer Chiefs will take advantage of that.

Only time will tell…
As things stand, all we know is that Chiefs are in talks with a number of coaches but Nasreddine Nabi remains their preferred choice.

But a section of Amakhosi fans still believe Mosimane is the right man to bring back the old glory days at Naturena.
