An Orlando Pirates utility player is off to Ivory Coast to represent Namibia, who qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

Orlando Pirates utility player Deon Hotto is off to Ivory Coast to represent Namibia, who qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

This follows Tuesday’s result between Cameroon and Burundi in the final Group C match. Cameroon beat Burundi 3-0 to qualify for the finals.

This means Namibia made it to next year’s AFCON finals without kicking a ball, but the truth of the matter is that they worked hard for their qualification.

Now, Hotto is certainly going to be on that plane to Ivory Coast provided he remains injury free closer to and during the AFCON games.

Hotto is an integral member of the Namibia national team, and one of the senior players with 66 caps, and his experience will definitely be needed.
