Ntseki: Mzansi fans see another trophyless season for Chiefs

Football fans foresee another trophyless season for Kaizer Chiefs following Molefi Ntseki’s appointment as new coach on Wednesday.

Kaizer Chiefs caught the media with surprise and including the fans who are seriously divided on Molefi Ntseki’s appointment – they see another trophyless season for Chiefs.

The Soweto giants, Chiefs headed to social media on Wednesday evening to break the news of Ntseki as Arthur Zwane’s successor, but the fans are unhappy and foresee another trophyless campaign.

Per media reports, speculation was rife on the new Chiefs coach with Manqoba Mngqithi of Mamelodi Sundowns and Tunisia’s Nasreddine Nabi touted as possible replacements but none expected Ntseki.

However, the Naturena-based Chiefs opted to look within their ranks and hired Ntseki who previously occupied the Head of Technical and Youth Development role.

NTSEKI’S APPOINTMENT AS CHIEFS BOSS LEAVES MZANSI DIVIDED

The former Bafana Bafana manager, Ntseki expressed delight in getting the Chiefs coaching job and admitted it is a huge responsibility.

He also promised Chiefs fans that he will work hard to restore the club’s glory and bring trophies but it seems they are not impressed with the management’s choice.

“I fully accept this huge responsibility that the Chairman, our Board of Directors, and the Club have bestowed on me with humility and respect,” Molefi said after being appointed as the new Kaizer Chiefs head coach as quoted by IdiskiTimes.

“I thank them for their confidence and belief in me to become the captain of the ship.

“I look forward to working with everyone involved in the technical team to bring joy to our millions of Amakhosi supporters around the world.”

CHIEFS FANS SHOCKED WITH COACH NTSEKI’S APPOINTMENT

As expected, Chiefs fans didn’t hesitate to head online and aired their views on the news as Chiefs are also topping the social media trends.

A section of social media users and idiski lovers feel the club will go for another season without a trophy or silverware as they are not convinced with Ntseki’s coaching credentials.
