Khama Billiat to Dynamos deal delayed! Here is why…

Billiat, 33, has been without a club since leaving Kaizer Chiefs in June 2023, but he appears to be edging closer to his next move.

Khama Billiat‘s imminent move to Zimbabwean giants Dynamos has been delayed, and the reason for that has since been revealed.

According to The Herald, Billiat has agreed terms with Dynamos on everything but the signing-on fee, and that’s where the delay is.

Billiat was reportedly set to have been in Zimbabwe by now, but he hasn’t arrived as he’s waiting for Dynamos to get their house in order.

BILLIAT TO DYNAMOS DEAL DELAYED BY SIGNING-ON FEE – REPORT

“He (Billiat) will not travel before the parties iron out the structure of his sign-on fees,” reports the publication.

“His salary and other add-ons have already been agreed and Billiat has since requested that the Number 12 jersey be reserved for him.

“But the sign-on figures are yet to be agreed and Billiat remains in South Africa as the Genesis “Kaka” Mangombe team continue to make frantic efforts to address that.”

BILLIAT WITHOUT CLUB SINCE LEAVING KAIZER CHIEFS

While Billiat is considered one of the most talented players on the African continent, he has found it extremely difficult to do find a club.

The 33-year-old has been unattached to any club since leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the 2022-23 season.

At the time, Billiat’s contract with Chiefs had come to an end, and the club had reportedly offered him a new deal with a reduced salary.

Billiat, however, rejected that offer without information Chiefs as he went AWOL for months before resurfacing at SuperSport United in January.

Nonetheless, the former Warriors international lasted for day at Matsatsantsa as it became clear that he wasn’t going to be signed.
