Kaizer Chiefs legend Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane wil get his hands dirty once more as he returns to the dugout with the SA U20 national team.

Letsholonyane was mostly recently contracted to AmaZulu as their DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team head coach.

But he was relieved of his duties following the team’s poor results.

Now, Letsholonyane is back in football, this time at national level with the SA U20 team where he will serve as assistant to coach Raymond Mdaka.

Amajita will hold its first of many training camps between 21-28 March at the SAFA Technical Centre in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers in September.

And Letsholonyane will work alongside Mdaka to ensure that they get the best possible squad in the coming months.

KAIZER CHIEFS LEGEND BACK IN FOOTBALL

“Mdaka will be working alongside Donald Mojaki, who is currently coaching Sol Plaatje University, Karabo Mogudi from the University of Johannesburg’s Varsity Cup and ABC Motsepe league coach and former Bafana Bafana international Reneilwe Letsholonyane. These coaches will form part of the technical team under the guidance of SAFA Technical Director Walter Steenbok,” reads part of a statement.

YEYE’S QUALIFICATIONS SET HIM APART

Yeye, as Letsholonyane is affectionately known, has done tremendously well in acquiring his coaching badges since retirement.

He started with CAF C License before studying further to obtain the CAF B License. And just recently, Letsholonyane completed his CAF A License.
